Sponsor a Seat

BE PART OF THE SHOW

You are invited to take a seat in our new auditorium as a Seat Sponsor.

Cork Opera House received funding from the Department of Arts, Sport and Tourism and Cork City Council to carry out long-overdue refurbishments of its 1000 seater auditorium, re-opened on 10th June 2009 by President Mary McAleese. Some seats in our auditorium had been therelese since the new Opera House was built in 1965!

The Sponsor a Seat campaign aims to raise money to bridge the shortfall in public funding and gives the people of Cork an opportunity to get involved and be acknowledged as a supporter for all our patrons to see.

There are still plenty seats left to sponsor! With your gift of €500 for a single seat or €750 for a pair of seats, you can play your part in the refurbishment of one of Cork's iconic buildings. In acknowledgement of your donation a plaque carrying your dedication will remain on the back for the lifetime of the seat. A certificate suitable for framing can be sent to you on request. Download brochure

OCCASIONS FOR SPONSORING A SEAT

You can use this unique opportunity to make a gift for a loved one on Valentine's Day, your wedding anniversary or Christmas. Sponsoring a seat is a wonderful way to commemorate a special event such as an engagement, marriage, the birth of a child or as a memoriam to honour a loved one who loved theatre.

The new seats have been installed! 1000 new seats in the stalls and dress circle offer patrons comfort and style and an altogether more enjoyable experience.

WHAT ARE THE TAX BENEFITS?

Full tax relief is available for our Seat a Seat scheme under the provisions of Section 848A Taxes Consolidation Act 1997. Cork Opera House is a registered charity no 17029. Please enquire for further details.
